Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
My doc told me the other day that tramadol does have some anti inflamatory properties and it may be causing me problems.
I will know more once I get the results back. Now my stomach is having a hard time with anything!!!!!!
I'm not sure if you are from the USA or not but in the US Tramadol in not considered a controlled substance. It is a "narcotic like" opiate pain reliever. It does not come in patch form here in the United States. Some other countries might consider it narcotic. It was dereived from the codeine formulas but scientists made it to be less habit forming. It is also a very mild SSRI. Here are two links you might find useful. It also is being studied for other disorders.

I think it's preferred administration is oral or injectable.
Please consult your prescribing doctor about your stomach problems. I'm worried about you and am concerned that there's something serious. There are also other drug options which may be more appropriate for you.
I had a better day today (stomach wise).. I started the morning with no coffee. HELP!
Then I ate a good breakfast and took a Zantac before I tried my morning Tramadol.
I did feel nauseaus a good pt of the day but I kept eating. I made sure I had a full belly every time I took another Tramadol and so far the horrible pain is not there and now the nausea has subsided. I have seen the doctor for those who mentioned that but I still haven`t been able to get the results back from the blood work on Tuesday.
