Secondly doctors are not discriminating, the Justice dept, which needs a win on the war against drugs has asked the DEA to crack down on doctors and pharmacies that write to many or fill to many scripts for scheduled narcotics.
They can't get the Colombians so they are going after housewives in Iowa and their doctors. Nice huh.
So doctors are scared to write scripts for pain meds. They rather you go to a pain doc or to a medical specialist to get your meds. Less paperwork and headaches for them. Pain docs know all about the rules and how to document their patients so they are less afraid to handle our care.
No matter who wins the oval office this won't change anytime soon. Nobody wants to be the one to say let them write to many prescriptions.
