I have a herniated disc at L4-5, 4 herniated discs in my neck-at C 3-4, C4-5, C5-6 and C6-7. Two of them are impinging my cervical cord. This causes pain in my shoulders, down my arms and into my hands. I also have DDD and spinal stenosis. I have no insurance so I go to the Veterans Hospital for health care and they do everything so slowly. I'm in severe pain every day. Saw one of the neurologists and they do not think I have significant cernical compression - damn it feels pretty signficant to me. Anyway, they want to do steriod injections in my neck. They will only give you a local anesthetic so I don't know how painful it will be. I've had them done on my low back when I had health insurance but the doctor used Versed which kind of dopes you up so you don't feel any pain. The VA will not be as humane. If you've had this done, let me know how it turned out for you. Thanks.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
