I refilled my scripts as per usual. I looked at them when I picked them up, and they looked correct, they were a different color but I take all generics so didnt think much of it. Well turns out they gave me 15mg oxycodone instread of 5mg oxycodone, and extended release morphine instead of immedite release, I have to crush my pills, so crushing extended release is a big no no. I filled it 13 days ago and just notivced its wrong. I was weening down prior to this to prepare for surgery. I called my PD as soon as I realized but they were gone. Am I partially responsible for the screw up? How big a deal is it that the administered the wrong meds? If my thyroid surgery is now delayed while I try to ween off these and it is malignant do they share any resposibility? Do I just swap out the pills as the pharmacy suggested? And they wanted to give me a full months worth of the correct meds, I refused that for sure, said if anything I only want the remaining days due. He then mentioned having to run it thru my insurance again, why? They screwed up, don't recharge me. Any and all advice is welcomed. Thank you.
