hello everyone im new here just found this site today. I had back surgery 2 yrs ago now they call it chronic pain. Every one here in my family gets tired of hearing me complain that im hurting but its so true the pain has been really bad here lately it gets to where i can hardly walk. im on all kinds of meds. in august 2005 i had back surgery, since my surgery i have had pain shots that worked for a little bit they have me on meds for pain depression anxiety and panic attacks, and blood pressure. i am 36yr old mom of 2 kids i was told i have degenerative disc disease now i had a doc that wanted to put in a stimulator but no insurance its hard to get thtem to do anything. The second opinion doc said by the time i was 50 i would be in a wheelchair. he also said that my back is like a 60 yr olds back not a 36yr old. They tell me to lose weight but if you cant walk how do you exercise?Well sorry for going on and on you can tell i have no one to talk to huh thats what i get for living out in the sticks. Hope to meet all of you soon thanks suzie

Yes, families and friends do get sick of hearing about the pain we are in. And there are times when we are judged because we need to take meds to try and get us through the day, or to get some sleep at night.
I can quite understand the not being able to exercise in order to lose weight. Are you able to swim? That is a more gentle way to exercise and something I would love to be able to do (no pools in our area) as I have lost weight before doing that. Like you I live out in the "stick" as you put it.
