My Dad was diagnosed with CLL about 9 yrs ago, his lymph nodes and sleen had started to enlarge about 4 yrs ago. Mind you his blood counts were WAY off the charts with most numbers being dangerously high or extremely low, like his plateletes. His Dr continued telling him no treatments were nessecary to the point I told him he needed to change his Dr. This new Dr also said no treatments at this time.... He has now been off work for a little over a month now, without my knowledge, as I live several states away now. In this time his lymph node have drastically swollen in his neck and has same kinda swelling knots that have appeared on his collar bone over the last week. He was referred to an ENT who has now said he has lymohatic cancer as well that is rapidly progressing! Chemo and radiation is what he is recommending as course of action... Do they typically do them both at the same time? He is telling me not to come back home its not needed for me to be there for him as he is severly tired all the time, but i am deeply concerned about him and his prognosis... Any thoughts on this?
