This may be too soon to ask, but do YOU have a favorite Thanksgiving holiday moment? Would love to hear about it!
I often joke with my Aunt, now 94, about how when I was growing up, my (adopted) family would drive from New York to New Jersey to have Thanksgiving meal with my Grandmother and Aunt. So I remind Aunt Charlotte on how, once that delicious homemade meal that Grandma fussed lovingly to make us was eaten with delight, how Aunt Charlotte and her brother, my dad, would playfully fight over the size of the slice of pumpkin pie. "Do you remember" I'd remind Aunt Charlotte, "on how we'd get out that punkin pie, set it on the table, and how you'd slice a piece of pie and put it on a plate and then your brother Lou would playfully grab the rest of that pie plate, put it in front of him, and say, Thank you for MY slice of pie" and this always gets Aunt Charlotte laughing.
While this year's Thanksgiving hasnt taken place, I can say how very thankful I am of my mother Caroline's strength of battling breast cancer this year and becoming a survivor and how special this years thanksgiving is celebrated with her all healthy again!
Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Ellen

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
My mother used insist that we say a prayer at the big Thanksgiving day meal, we didn't say it on a daily basis. The prayer that we would say was, "Come Lord Jesus, be our guest, let all our gifts be blessed. Amen." Well, this one Thanksgiving meal this is how my Mom said the prayer.
"Come Lord Jesus, be our guest, Oh no I forgot to put salt in the potatoes, (the whole family group had to LOL), let all our gifts be blessed. Amen."
