This topic is actually more serious than fun as I think stress is the major contributor of ALL of our illnesses, whatever they might be. Here's how I deal with mine:
1. Boundaries -- know when to say "no" and not feel guilty about it;
2. Boundaries from toxic people -- negative people will only bring you down. Avoid them at all cost;
3. Genuine quiet time with God -- prayer, reading His Word and seeking him. Learning to forgive as he forgives, to love the unloveable (as I am sometimes!)
4. Getting outdoors -- going for long walks in the woods or in the sand along the beach. Water in particular relaxes me, be it the ocean, a river, pond or creek. I could just sit by a stream for hours on end.
5. Meeting a girlfriend for coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner -- anytime of day!
6. An occasional glass of wine. I like White Zinfandel or Riesling while listening to some of my favorite CDs when I'm cooking -- Alison Krauss & Union Station, Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, as well as praise and worship music.
7. Finally ... sex! (With my husband, of course.)
Please note these were NOT in any particular order! Sorry it took so long.
