hi everyone im liz i was dx with m.s in june 06 and CFS in june 07. the sym seem to overlap some what. but now im questioning fibro, now the weather here in the uk has turned cold. im having great problems with pain in my thumb and knee as soon as i warm up it easy,s off. i did some research into fibro and again i see a overlap of fibro and cfs. so im not really sure if this is a CFS sym or fibro. its not m.s as that is a different king of pain and does not ease up with heat.its funny in the summer the heat makes me feel so ill as does a hot bath or shower.and now im being affected badly by the cold lol. i would appriciate any help in this matter thank-you all so much for reading this loads of love lizxxxx

Yes it is very strange isnt it? well I can tell you in my case and from what I know (having both of these) is that when its cold it makes Fibro worse... when it is too warm it makes my CFS worse. So if you have both of these conditions, then you will probably have both of these situations happen- Once my Thyroid and my Anemia were in check... that helped alot. Mostly the fibro because now I am rarely cold when before I was always cold. With the CFS... I have to take lukewarm if not cooler showers because I feel TERRIBLE if I get too warm in the shower like feeling lightheaded- stuff like that.

I was recently dx with both Fibro and CFS along with sleep apnea, anemia, and nerve damage from a B12 deficiency. My doctor told me that Fibro and CFS basically go hand in hand. The symptoms are the same in many ways. I am still learning about everything and trying new meds to try and get everything under control.

Hi, I have fibro and cfs, they go hand in hand. My fibro pain definately gets a little better with heat, but I have heard others say that they need ice on their joints etc. I do sometimes get burning pain in my joints that can't tolerate heat. The thing with fm is that it is just so unpredictable - you should ask your doctor.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
