I know some people on here feel that complete dental mercury removal will make them well. I want to tell people...not necessarily true. It may help to decrease the toxic burden on the body, but it is not the answer for everyone and it is VERY EXPENSIVE.
I did the whole thing including having root canal teeth removed due to infections. A total of $9,000 was spent out of pocket. I did NDF, chlorella, Reiki, I bought a sauna, I ate cilantro, drank green juices of all kinds, juiced for 2 years...it didn't cure me. It didn't even make me all that better. It helped. When I say helped...I wasn't quite so foggy in the head, but guess what..that waxes and wanes.
I have been sick 18 yrs. I got the very first "Chronicle's" that ever came out. I know lots of protocols including Cheyney's and Amy Yasko, Ali, all of them. I have done glutathione, God so many things.
Whenever someone boasts of a cure, like there is one thing in this heap of crap that we are dealing with, that is going to be the magic bullet...take precaution. It may have worked for them...but it's not always the case for everyone.
I know a number of people that have had all fillings removed and are still very ill. In fact most of my friends with this illness have had it and they are still sick.
I went to one of the top notch docs for this removal, I had cavitation analysis, bad teeth pulled, special non toxic bridges made and I am still sick. That was 5 years ago.
It comes down to how you detox, possible other viruses or infections, hormonal problems, etc.
Please do not think that mercury removal is THE ALL CURE for this illness. There are several ways of getting better...mercury removal is just ONE of them.
I am not trying to be a stick in the mud. I am trying to just let people know that it's a good idea if you can afford it. And also, that it might not be that magic bullet, since there is not just one for this illness.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I just wanted to add that I had my mercury fillings taken out too back in 1990 and it didn't help me either. I still have my root canals though.
The only thing I've done that really made a difference was eliminate food intolerances, but I understand this may not be help everyone.
"It comes down to how you detox, possible other viruses or infections, hormonal problems, etc. "
Can you please tell me what you did here ?
I agree with Sharon, I believe our detoxification systems are overburderned with different toxins and that's why each of us responds to different treatments. So, it's possible that some could heal from removing their fillings and root canals.
IMHO we could all benefit from healing our guts. They say most of our immune systems are in our guts.

Nobody should ever imply that a dental revision will cure anything, but your health will not improve without it. The problems that many people experience with amalgam removal is lack of proper protocols for removal and just as important for recovery. Chlorella is not a chelator, but chelation is not the answer. Cilantro will carry ionic mercury across the blood brain barrier. Juices are partitioned forcing the body to deplete enzyme sources. Everything you did was contrary to what I had to do to recover. The man responsible for this entire issue in this country, Dr. Hal Huggins, developed the necessary protocols for a dental revision and recovery treatment that is essential for improved health. Unfortunately, there are probably less than a hundred dentists who do the protocol for revision, and hardly anyone does the recovery protocol. There are many who claim they do, but it is not actually so. The man with Parkinson's disease that attended the same clinic I did got his disease from the improper removal of his amalgams.
Incidentally, my digestive problems were directly the result of mercury toxicity.
It is important to realize that there is a correct way and a wrong way to do this. I suspect that I am the only one posting here who had the correct procedures.

And yes Sharon, Shoemaker makes some great points. He and Patricia Kane are big proposers of the idea that many with this illness and lyme do not detox properly, so that even with the proper mercury detox..it will not work due to an overwhelmed liver. The liver is extremely important in getting well and ours are overwhelmed. The whole glandular system.
I am tired of docs saying they don't know, but I would rather hear that then "I have the cure" only to be let down AGAIN.
The most important point to remember is that when one treatment or protocol works for one CFS sufferer doesn,t necessarily work for another...there are so many underlying causes and life experiences and stresses for us...we are all different and unique.
Do the research find a good doctor if possible and make your own decision.
I have just read a book written by an australian journalist who suffered from CFS he was able to find a dx and good information and treatments fairly quickly his full recovery had nothing to do with mercury toxicity....that was found anyway....so much info so many factors...I do my research and I trust God and go with my heart/gut feeling........as has been recored here there is no one bullet cure...anyway all all the best and heaps of hugz and sunshine...Julie
Amen. We all have to find our own way. There are many ways up the mountain of CFIDS.
As for me, I am using Hydration and Symphonic Orchestra Therapy (SOT)these days and am improving quite well. Let me explain HSOT. I attend the Symphony Orchestra and drink a lot of water before going...and I let the vibrations of the violins heal me. :) Hey, I feel better for two hours anyway.... :) All semi- kidding aside....each of us has to find our own way...and anyone who says THIS is it....makes me a little uncomfortable....because many are healed by other means.....it seems to me the only thing people have in common who have some healing from CFIDS....is Time. It takes time to heal...anyway....my little ramble for the day....Thank you all for listening....Hang in there all...brighter days are coming!

Because I've been reading your DS stories on CFS, I realize I started having dizzy spells and having signs of CFS about the time the existing bridgework was done. I don't think I can ignore this and write it off as coincidence. I don't believe it would be the main reason for my CFS but definitely a contributing one.
Could you folks advise me on what questions to ask my dentist beforehand (i.e. what materials should be used in the replacement) if I decide to do this. It would be most appreciated. You may message me with your coments if you wish. Thanks.
Do you know if the bridge that you have is a porcelain fused to metal (PFM) or a non-metal porcelain/ceramic? If it is a PFM the most likely metal is stainless steel (nickel). The porcelain/ceramic that is used to make the crown bridge or to coat the metal contains high amounts of aluminum oxide. Either way you may be exposed to aluminum with nickel a possibility if a PFM. Other metals involved could be cadmium, paladium and zirconium. There is a serum compatibility test and also a computerized kinesthsiology report that you can take to test these materials of the new bridge that you are going to get. There is a new porcelain/ceramic product called "Cerec" that is processed at a higher heat for a stronger bond. This may not leach its components to the degree that standard porcelain/ceramic products do.

Dissimilar metals and acid will make a battery.
I do agree with some of you that dental revision wont cure all of you but if you have MS it should be considered because many with MS have gotten better just from a dental clean up and a detox program also some CFS'rs have also gotten better.
It is kinda Ironic that now I am healthy and I did get my teeth fixed.
Still don't know if I would have gotten better without having my root canal removed or not but it is nice not having that pain in my mouth where the root canal was.
I think was worth it for me.
I only spent about 12-$1,400.
When the dentist wanted to give me crowns I went to a different dentist.
