I have been documenting everything that has happened with my fiance's son and the biological mother since last October. It is very detailed, but what is truly helpful when we decide to try and get full custody of his son? I have everything from the biomom's evictions, heat being shut off, her car breaking down, her family paying for new vehicles and housing, her abortions, her mental disorder she won't take meds for, her calls to us accusing us of not helping her by buying more clothes for my stepson, her threats to us, phone numbers being changed and/or disconnected, her past history with drugs, her current husbands inability to keep a job, incest that has happened in her husbands family.....the list goes on and on.... My fiance and I are not getting married until October of next year, but should we get a lawyer now? I guess I don't know just how to get the ball rolling and if there is a timeline that should be followed. Or should we wait until we are married to start paperwork?
