My Ex was to begin paying child support per Court Order, to be paid directly to me and not thru any Friend of the Court. He has not paid a dime for 2 years, and only 1/2 of what he was suppose to pay in the previous years. He called a couple years ago, and said he couldn't "afford child support"-and I said fine, 'cause u didn't want anything to do with her anyways since she's been born. I made it clear that I was RAISING HER! He said "Fine", and hung up. Now since he's filed change of custody, and threatening trial-I'd like to file contempt of court charges for CS. I have a Crappy Attorney-who continues to say "Don't Rock the Boat"-so I doubt he would file any motions for such. Has anyone filed contempt of court charges? I appreciate any info you could give on this topic. Thanks!!!
