Hello everyone. I am new to this group. I am a child abuse survivor. A little about me. I was raised by my paternal grandmother and step-grandfather. I was physically, emotionally and verbally abused buy both of them. My biological parents were "too young" to raise my brother and I. My biological mom wwas never around and my biological dad was and still is a crackhead but he was around time to time. I was beaten with sticks, belt buckles, broom handles, extension cords, 2x4s, bar stools. I have been beaten to the point I would pee on myself. I failed gym most of my life b/c there was no way I was changing infront of all my friends and let them see it. At 17 I have birth to my one and only child. I had no idea what I was doing but I knew if I did everything the opposite of what was done to me that I had to be okay. My son is now 11 yrs old and I see a child I never was and a confidence that I never had. He is just the very best kid in the world We have a healthy relationship and stuff that I was beaten for, I see now was normal reactions of children. He is testing the waters a little bit here and there which I think is healthy b/c I was so scared of my parents that I would just be sick all day iin school wondering what was coming for me when I got home...no wonder I made bad grades. Its amazing to see my son so happy and healthy.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
