I am facing a chemo regime that means I will lose my hair. Last time I went through this I managed to hang on to it..this time I won't be able to and would appreciate any advice on where/how to find a decent wig.
I would like to think that I could find a wig that will look like the real thing, or better, and won't take too much trouble to look after. Am I being naive? What are your experiences with wigs or do you think I should forget the idea and be bald???

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I felt more like me with the hats than I do the wig. Plus I can match them to my outfits. I miss my eyelashes more than my hair. I know that probably sounds weird, but that's me.
Good Luck

They custom design wigs for chemo patients. I hope this helps!
I have also lost my eyebrows and my eye lashes.. in fact virtually all body hair has abandoned me.. The eye brows are a pain to draw on and someone recommended buying some temporary tattoo ones which are available from wig suppliers.. but I didn't bother to do that. I've just had a thought to make some sort of template to make them easier to match up.... now why didn't I think of that sooner...
I've finished my chemo and have been told that I will probably to have it again at some point.. Hoping I get to grow my hair back first and that if/when I do need more chemo that it won't be the type that makes me bald.. xxx
Good luck finding one. i would check with your chemo nurses, mine gave me the BEST place to go. Good luck!
