I have a bone scan and a pet scan in 2 weeks and I have scanxiety! These are my first ones since I started chemo in March. I really think I'm ok, especially since I had my original tumor removed in June, but still I'm nervous. Anyone else get worked up before scans?

With every scan my anxiety goes through the roof. I have learned to deep breath and visualize myself at the beach or some other place.

It's always going to be difficult.. as the natural instinct is too move as far and fast away from the whole experience as we can. I was clear of cancer for six years after treatment and decided it wasn't going to come back.. I could have diagnosed my recurrence a year earlier had I doubted myself, though I've been reassured that it wouldn't have made any difference to treatment or possible outcome, I will always wonder. I think the best thing to help us to cope with these scary tests is the sound sense, encouragement and support we can give and get from each other here.. Lots of love and luck to you.. may you continue to have good test results for many years to come.. We will be here to help you get through them xxxxxx

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
