For anyone wondering, I did some research about movie theater popcorn, the salt they use and the butter topping as well. I looked at the actual packaging at 2 different movie theaters in two different towns and found both theaters to have GF popcorn and everything including the salt, butter topping and cooking oil to also be GF. I then emailed Cinemark which is now the leading movie theater in my area and in a lot of areas around the country and asked about their popcorn and they told me everything was GF and gave me a list of all the ingredients that go in to making the popcorn, cooking it and the toppings. I will always check before hand but feel confident about eating popcorn at the movies now. That helps me feel so normal.
