Celiac Disease Support Group
Celiac disease is an auto-immune disorder of the digestive system that occurs in genetically-predisposed individuals. It is characterised by damage or flattening to all or part of the villi lining the small intestine, which interferes with the absorption of nutrients. This damage is caused by eating anything with gluten (gliadin), a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley...

i LOVE potato chips, and although i haven't been formally diagnosed with celiac i am doing my best to avoid gluten products to see if it helps me, so i was very happy to find my favourite snack was gluten free!!!
i bet if there is enough of a demand a lot more companies will consider going gluten-free with their products. it's worth a try!

However, be careful and read the labels. All of the stackers are GF-they usually have a little line that says "naturally gluten free". Even the BarBQ stackers are GF.
However, the ones in the bag are actually more nutritious than the stackers, and you do have to read those labels. BarBQ in the bag is NOT GF!! It has barley.
Also, I understand that some of the smaller off-brand junker brand chips do use wheat flour on the line to keep the chips from sticking together. Since it's not really an ingredient, that's not listed. However, that could very well be an old wive's tale. I've never had that confirmed.
I should buy Lay's stock! Seriously, I eat them probably 5 days a week. Saved my butt a number of times when I had a bad "bonk" from a hard workout and got ditzy and couldn't figure out where I was or how to get home.
