This is my first day with this group. I have 2 cats. Miss Mittens and Angel and yes they are my masters. I rescued them when they were 2 weeks old. Feeding every couple of hours and -de-peeing them too. That was 7 ears ago. I am still their slave. I just wanted to share my remarkable cat story!! Not only do I look after my cats, they look after us too. I look after my mother in our home. She has Alzheimer's. She also lives in her in-law suite in our home. Not too close to our room. I have a baby monitor in the room next to us so I can hear mom if she calls me. Well 2 days ago at 3am in the morning, Mom fell out of bed. Since she is so weak she can not get up on her own if she falls. She was calling for help and I was so sound asleep that I did not hear her calls. Well...My cat Miss Mittens started meowing and running up and down the hall way, and in and out of our room. In doing so she woke me up and then I could hear mom crying for me. I managed to get to her and help her back to bed. She was ok and did not hurt herself. Thanks to my cat, I helped my mom. After I got back to bed, I called Mitty and she came running. I pet her and she seem so happy that she helped. She settled at the foot of the bed for the rest of the night. I could not believe what she did. We love her dearly!
