Caring For Aging Parents Support Group
Caring for aging parents can be a difficul time as we become the caretakers for our parents. This broad responsibility can encompass such services as assisted living, adult day care, long term care, nursing homes, hospice care, and in-home care. Whether you have just started caring for your parents or just need a place to talk, we're here.
I don't know if this concerns this post but i'm goin to toss it anyway. If your parent has a bladder problem or has to take Lasix pills & uses Depends or other brands & is on Medicaid, it'll cover the cost for them at the pharmacy. When you call in meds just include them on your list. Also people with a "silent asperation", Thicket can be covered also. I never knew about these things until an aid told me, now you do too. Hope I was some help. Everyone take care!
I found some items on the Alzstore website like videos of old songs that had the words so you could sing along. My Dad remembers the words, but I didn't, so it at least helped me!
Juice Boxes....he can't tip them over and get frustrated. Slip on shoes, rubber exercise bands....boy I could go on forever. This is great idea for a discussion! Thanks! Cathy
