The last tilme I posted on this site... I let you all know taht caregiving pays...I got a job w a local agency for caregivers, Ive had plenty of experience and the job is nice. I take of a woman in her late 70s. She has limited mobility fromt he knees down , uses a walker and a wheelchair. I absolutely adore her. She wears a brace on her one leg and is gettilng fitted onFri for the other leg. Heres my concern. I help her get dressed and use the bathroom. This week she hasnt been steady on her feet so to speak, I worry about her falling , especially when shes w me. Shes a big woman and IT would kill me if she fell, not literally, we would both have a difficult time getting up, but if she got hurt when she was with me I would be upset. The Drs have been playing around getting her a second brace and I keep hoping and praying she doesnt fall. I know that I am personally attached to her and I worry about her constantly. I almost wanted to take it to my own hands today and call the DR to speed it up. Shes very patient and its been about two weeks until this Fri, appointment, then they will have to order it and that could take yet more time!

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
