I took mother to the dermatologist last week and they took three samples to biopsy. I haven't heard anything back and then today I got a call from the ear, nose and throat specialist that mother was referrred to them and we have an appointment Feb 11th. I'm not sure what the connection might be but the dermatologist said "if we find something we will have to talk about treatment options". I'm thinking that if mother has melanoma it has spread to other parts of the body. Am I overreacting? She had a complete blood work up done about a month ago. Wouldn't the blood work have shown some abnormality?? Just wondering if someone has walked down this road before. Thanks for any words of advice.
