HUGS!!
There are many of us on DS who live and care for a senior. Who says seniors dont have a sense of humor? These are some personal ads as seen in Florida newspapers.
FOXY LADY: Sexy, fashion-conscious blue-haired beauty, 80's, slim, 5'4" (used to be 5'6"), searching for sharp-looking, sharp-dressing companion. Matching white shoes and belt a plus.
LONG-TERM COMMITMENT: Recent widow who has just buried fourth husband, and am looking for someone to round out a six-unit plot. Dizziness, fainting, shortness of breath not a problem.
SERENITY NOW: I am into solitude, long walks, sunrises, the ocean, yoga and meditation. If you are the silent type, let's get together, take our hearing aids out and enjoy quiet times.
WINNING SMILE: Active grandmother with original teeth seeking a dedicated flosser to share rare steaks, corn on the cob and caramel candy.
BEATLES OR STONES? I still like to rock, still like to cruise in my Camaro on Saturday nights and still like to play the guitar. If you were a groovy chick, or are now a groovy hen, let's get together and listen to my eight-track tapes.
MINT CONDITION: Male, 1932, high mileage, good condition, some hair, many new parts including hip, knee, cornea, valves. Isn't in running condition, but walks well.
MEMORIES: I can usually remember Monday through Thursday. If you can remember Friday, Saturday and Sunday, let's put our two heads together.
Great fun and excitement when we get to that next stage of life, Gail Rae! I relate so well to MEMORIES, Im thinking I might have one foot in the door already! LOL
HaPpYiNg HaUnTiNg, Witchy Woman . . .EVERYBODY sing or hum, or lip-sync
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birth Day, dear Gail Rae
Happy Birthday to you!
Love and Mooooooches!
Wishing you a day filled with silly giggles and hot, sweaty Latin men of the Jimmy Smits variety :) And if these wishes come true, please call and invite us over IMMEDIATELY!!!
Much Love!
LOVED the elder companion ads...and, those of you who think you can't sing...I can't either, but I assure you, I DON'T LET THAT STOP ME! It is my habit to sing Happy Birthday to myself all day long...and I expect not to be the only one singing off key! The more surprising it sounds, THE BETTER IT IS BECAUSE THE MORE LIKELY PEOPLE ARE TO NOTICE IT!
i'm singing your song.
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Have A Blessed Day ********

Thank you so much for the Birthday wishes! They all worked!
The year I turned 20 I threw a fit for some unknown reason. I guess that meant I had to leave my teens and act like an adult. I started telling people I was 25 and I went in five year periods ever after that till I reached 60 then I went to jumping one or two years. This Sept I was 79 so I tell people I am 80 and hope I see the day I am.
I am tone deaf as a person can be so I can't even sing in church without getting dirty looks but I raise the roof at home.
By the way, as for my singing - I sing my little heart out in church!! I can't sing in key but hey so what? If people don't like it - especially in church - their problem, not mine.
