Has anyone ever thought about what they want done with their body after they are gone? The chioces used to be kind of limited to burial or cremation. But I just heard a radio show and they were talking about all these other options. Some people now want "green" burials (no enbalming), or you can get "lifegems" where they take you cremains and turn them into dimond like gems. You can then choose to have them make into jewelery. Or you can get a painting made with you ashes mixed in the paint. One place makes them into fireworks and shoots them off over the ocean. And Memory glass makes beautiful glass balls. I didn't know there were so many choices. Personally I like the life gems. But I am also prone to losing jewelery. :)

Oh I'm laughing...ending up in a garage sale! My daddy's ashes are in mom's closet in a beautiful box in a beautiful bag. She likes him being close. I think I'd like to be a monument at the entrance to my development. Here was one of the nicest caregivers that lived here. Actually I'm just kidding. I once was told when we pass our bodies are like a coat we just take off and put over a chair, we are more than our bodies, so it would be nice to not think our remains would be creepy wearing. I've seen people wearing "the jewelry".

Donate anything wanted for what I do not know. Can't give blood, because I lived in England during early 90s and people are afraid of Mad-Cow. Anyway, after that, green burial if it is not tooo expensive, in which case I would go for cremation...

I had never given thought to anything other than cremation. Thats all arranged and paid for, we will be cremated here, then the cremains mailed to a funeral home back home in Iowa and they take care of the burial and inscription on our stone. We had our stone set many years ago. It has mountains in the background, a lake with a man fishing and a lady planting flowers. That's us!!

years ago I left my body to medical science, though my youngest son didnt like the idea of that as they couldnt bury me!! however, worked with some nurses a few years ago who were joking about throwing a 'hand' (sorry, bit gruesome this) around and laughing about it all. I know they have to have a sense of humour about things but this lack of respect really put me off - they even said something about painted nails this poor woman had had OMG....so in my last will I decided on cremation and i will be lying with my husband again in his memory garden with our youngest son ... :0)

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
