Everyone has a special gift. Name one thing you learned from the person you take care of.
It would be a boring world if everyone agreed all the time. One of the things I missed out on, when I lost my mom, was an adolescence, when we could bring up our opinions to each other and disagree. I used to like to argue politics with my grandma because I learned a lot. One thing I learned was not to argue politics. LOL Another thing I learned was, when you think you know everything, you're a fool. A wise person knows there is always more to learn and that you aren't a know it all. So I'm happy if I can find someone with whom I can not see eye-to-eye with, and we can respect each other, and agree to disagree. I learned a lot from my grandma. She came from a time when women weren't even allowed to vote!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I have also learned that no matter how old you get you still want to live.
I always thought that when a person was old or ill they would be ready to go.
But my dad is a fighter, he wants to live.
And I admire him so much for that.
My dad has shown a strength that I never knew he had.
A quote from the book "Tuesday's with Morrie"
The little wave is bobbing along having a good time enjoying the wind and fresh air....until he notices the other waves in front of him crashing against the shore. OMG, this is terrible the little wave said "Look what's going to happen to me!"
Then along comes another wave. It see's the first wave looking grim and it said to him "Why do you look so sad?
The first wave said "You don't understand! We are all going to crash!
The second wave said "No , you don't understand. Your not a wave, your part of the ocean"!
I've learned we are all an ocean of humanity. Created for love. I feel like the little wave but believe the second wave or the ocean of love!
