Hi, I'm new to this group, and I'd love some advice. Here's my story..I am 27 years old,and have a great job in a medical-related field, with one huge problem.I have fought chronic neck pain for 8 years; I physically cannot do this type of work anymore. I'm on sick leave- but have run out of sick days. I need to find a new career. I'm considering going back to school, but don't know what for. I want to make a good decision. Part of that decision includes ensurng that my next career is not at all physically demanding. Working from would be ideal.I'd love advice.

I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
