An idle question, really, that I was thinking about this morning in the shower. My partner went to the optometrist in July, when our daughter was 2 months old. She is bf'ing and although she was due for an eye dilation, the doctor said they should wait because she was breast feeding and she didn't know if the eye drops was safe for bf'ing moms. My partner and I are already starting to talk about having our next child (!) and my partner wants to do child-led weaning, which means she may be bf'ing right up to when she gets pregnant (hopefully) with our next one -- and maybe even through the pregnancy. That means she might not be able to have her eyes dilated for like 5 years! Her eyesight isn't that bad, so she normally does every 2 years, but that is a very long time to not have a standard eye health test. Does anyone know if the eye dilation drops are safe or not?
