I am curious what most women are doing for each feeding. I have generally fed from one side until the baby drains the milk and only offered the other side if she still seemed hungry. I have vague recollections of the benefits of hind milk that comes at the end of a feeding. However, most of the women I know who bf have followed the wisdom of splitting the feeding between the two sides... I think the logic there is that babies get the most milk from the first 10 minutes on a side. I have a 5 day old now and it has been 5 years since I had a newborn to bf, but I am curious what others do and the reasons behind it. Maybe it's not a big deal, but we are just establishing our habits and I like to feel like I am giving her my best possible milk.
