Breastfeeding Support Group
While breastfeeding is recommended by many doctors, it is not as simple as it seems. This is a community dedicated to parents who are choosing to breastfeed, providing a safe place to discuss everything from pumping, to questions of whether baby is getting enough, weaning, breast care, scheduling, supply, and more.

So since I am breastfeeding I will admit that a majority of my newborns needs are met by me. Obviously the feedings, the diapering (I am not about to pass a baby over to get a change when I can do it just as easy, and better too) are handled by me, I am ensuring that my partner gets sleep as he wakes early to work and I am still on leave.
However, I need a break sometimes, its not like I leave the house anymore.
It seems like when the baby is crying he thinks its because she is hungry and doesnt try to comfort her or find the reason. I explained to him that since I feed on demand (and probably a little extra as I think she nurses for comfort) that the baby isn't going to be so hungry that she crys like that. It irritates me that when I am trying to get laundry/dinner/a shower done that he is unable to calm the baby down. Its like he doesn't think uggggghhhh. I am so frustrated with him and it makes me feel like I would be leaving baby with someone incapable of caring for her when I do go back to work!
WHAT DO I DO?!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I hope this didn't come across like I was bashing you, I have 3 little ones that are badgering me and I need to start on dinner.
Good luck!

So my advice is to get your baby used to a bottle... pump some breast milk to leave with baby and hubby and leave the house. Try for an hour at a time. Go get a manicure.... take baby steps. Give him the chance to prove to himself that he can tend to his daughter, that he can learn to read her cues.... your whole family will be better off.
Good luck!
