My 11mos. old daughter was recently diagnosed with iron-defiency anemia. It has been affecting her growth and development. She is on iron supplements and the doctor reccomended a high iron diet. I am iron-defcient anemic also but the high-iron foods that i eat would be harder for her to eat too. (raisins, raw green vegatables, red meats and fish)My daughter has only two bottom teeth and tends to gag and choke easily. Does anyone have any reccomendations on what I could give her that is high in iron? She refuses to drink anything but water and breasmilk from the source. lately she has also refused to eat the iron fortified baby cereals. Any help?
