Wanted to share a nice experience I had with two special scarfs that I received from my two sis-in-laws. I received a package in the mail from my sis-in-laws who live in Florida. I LOVE surprise gifts!!! It was two Breast Cancer awareness scarfs. Being Oct. (at the time) and my having Breast Cancer a hundred years ago they thought of me when they seen them at a function they had attended. They each bought one (opposite colors) for me. My husband and I attended church the following day and, of course, I wore my scarfs. We stopped at restaurant for something to eat afterwards. Across from us was another couple in their 30's.. The woman was facing me. When we made eye contact, she asked me if I'm a survivor while pointing to my scarfs. I said "yes". She mentioned that she has it now. I told her that I'm over 20 years and she'll be fine. She said her's went in her bones. Keeping positive, I told her that with today's technology, she'll still be fine. Her tone of voice and attitude was good and she never lost her smile. We all went back to our own business. My husband and I finished first. As we were leaving, I don't know why but I walked up to her, took my pink wrist band off, handed it to her and told her to wear it for my strength, keep positive and keep smiling. She reached up, hugged me, thanked me and said she will. She never lost her smile. The pink jelly wrist band read: "Mothers, daughters, sisters and friends". Not another word was said, we walked out. I can get another band but I can never get the gift of that good feeling.

That is so lovely!! MY daughter is in high school and shortly after I was diagnosed, her guidance councellor gave me a breast cancer scarf. She has sisters who are survivors. I cherish that gift, but, one day, I hope that I can give it to someone i meet in a chance encounter as you did your bracelet.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
