I believe that emotionally speaking, you could basically make your inner self into something resembling a bank ledger.
On the one side, things that make you happy, or "Deposits". This is good stuff.
Then on ther other side, you've got things that drain you, "Credits and outstanding debts". This is bad stuff, or stuff that's not bad, it just makes you feel frumpy.
Sometimes I get the feeling that there are just sometimes when you have to let go of those credits and other crap. Otherwise your deposits are never going to outweigh your credits.
Sure, some people see getting into another relationship as some kind of emotional bailout, but it's only going to last for so long before you start hitting someone else up for that same sense of feeling good.
At some point, you have to take charge of your emotions. You have to try to wipe away all of the bad stuff, write it off, and move on.
Or you can sit at home with your emotions buried in a mason jar in the backyard under the dog kennel because it's just safer that way.
Life can be scary. From the moment your momma evicted you out of your comfy amniotic hideout after living there nine months rent-free, it should have been obvious that life is all about change and doing scary things. Yes, there are still some people who think we all made a mistake by coming out in the first place, but you gotta let them have their little scaredy moments.
Live. Go. Grab some cahones.

A friend sent this to me..As far as I can see, grief will never truly end.It may become softer overtime, more gentleand some days will feel sharp. But grief will last as long as Love does - ForeverIt's simply the way the absence of your loved onemanifests in your heart. I feel like I'm living a half life right now.
Case in point--last night I'm in my graduate class and a classmate and I start a conversation about her ACL surgery. I start to tell her about stbx's ACL surgery and I hesitate--he's not my ex, I really don't feel connected to him anymore to call him a husband; I don't want to say he's my stbx because that has no relevance to the subject and makes it look like I'm an attention seeker--aaaaggghhhh. Hate the limbo.
I'm ready to live, oh yeah.
