Okay here is the situation: My stbx and I sold our home. We agreed that my attorney would do the closeing because she was fairly inexpensive. Now that the attorney review is underway I started to see that not only were all the papers going to my attorney but also to his as well. So I asked what is going on. I was told that he requested that his attorney also look over the papers. I am angry because this has held up attorney review. It has been 16 days now and we are still in attorney review! My stbx takes forever to get back to his attorney to sign papers and what not. My attorney said because he requested this she really cannot represent him so everything must also go through his attorney now. This is the problem. We agreed that we would split the closeing costs but I feel there is no way in hell I am paying for another attorney (his) to double check all the paper work. He thinks my attorney and I are trying to trick him. When I said something to him about this he tried to pull some crap and said, well I never wanted to use your attorney in the first place. Which is a lie! Also he said well you pay your attorney and I will pay mine. I don't think so. Mine is doing all the work. She is doing the closeing: getting the title ect. What do you all think?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
