Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Now, to answer your question directly, if you believe in hell, and believe in heaven, then if you commit suicide, you go to the former, not the latter. Unless the Vatican changed the rules.
Who's thinking about this.
I'll tell you something personal. I used to think about it all the time...grew up thinking about it. Hated my life.
Since the seperation, I haven't had those thoughts AT ALL. All I think of now, is that it's MY life. And mine to make happy.
Nope...things don't all go my way. Lot's of stress. Kids fight and I sometimes wonder why I had them at all.
But back to that feeling. It's MY life. To make of what I want. No one to make me miserable unless I let them. For me, that meant to stop trying to have a relationship with my sister and some other people who were always bringing me down. I just don't have to do it.
And I only have ONE life to enjoy. So deal with the crap that you can't help...and enjoy it the rest of the time.
That being said. God gave us life and with that he gave us the responsibility to take care of our lives and respect life. Yes suicide is something that happens too much in our day and age...
I personally don't believe in Hell... I don't believe God would have somewhere to punish his own creation for eternity... but do I believe that there is a punishment for suicide... yes.
Suicide is a selfish way out. It ends the problems for the person doing it while creating problems for everyone else. It isn't exactly easy to deal with the suicide of someone you love.
