i know it might not seem like much, but you have a lot of people on ds that love you and are sad your hurting. a lot of people that care about you. hang in there, your strong, you'll make it through this.

That's when you need to learn to live comfortably inside your own skin, Dee. You are trying to escape the feelings inside you. Let them come and have their day. They will pass.

So sorry you are suffering. Stay strong and, as catfisher said, focus on you. If you can become happy as an individual then the flow of people in and out of your life will not have as much impact on your happiness.

Trust us honey, we have all been there.. you start with maslows hierarchy of needs.

I know how you feel. My whole life is turned upside down and I don't know what I'm going to do. I have only been on DS for 2 day's and it is helpful. Know that the people here are or have felt the same way. Stay close by.

I really wish I could let my experience with the "next man" be all of our experience. The "next man" ends up being the guy we try to prove ourselves too. We have to be worthy of them and either we give too much too soon or are too afraid to give tnem what they need. Mark my words "the next man" is not the man for us because we're more than likely gonna end up hurt attempting to move on too soon. I've been involved in some way or another with "the next man" for over a year and it's very hurtful. And although I never considered that I gave him my heart, it's apparent that I have and I am constantly having my heart broken. We just have to make it apart of the healing process and not make the "next man" pay for what the last one did.

Oh Dee I am so sorry for your pain. I agree with the others, try to make yourself happy first. I have sworn off men until I am ENTIRELY over this one, no matter how long it takes or how lonely I get. I think it is best that you allow yourself to heal and to become whole again before thinking about another man.
And, you are not alone. You still have us.

At least you realize that "escaping" is what you are trying to do. I also try to find ways to not deal with life. I am so sorry for your pain.
