Today would have been my 23rd

Today would have been my 23rd Anniversary. I don't know what significance this has, but I don't feel any different today.

I am sad for my daughter. She called today because she talked to her mom, then she called me after to complaing that it sounded like her mom was loaded, My daughter doesn't know it would have been our 23rd.

My stbx had her DUI case disposed of favorably Thursday of this past week. She had been going to AA for the past 5 months, but I think she may have fell off the wagon today. Maybe the fact that today would have been our 23rd.

She's the one that cheated and then left for the party life. I feel sorry for her, it seems her life is falling apart.

Hugs to you and your daughter. The one thing is because we have histories with these people, it still is hard to see them self destruct thru their own choices. All yo ucan do is be there for yor daughter and yourself.

I hear you on this.. It is hard to watch someone that we once loved with all our hearts go down, but we have to stand back and let it happen.. Karma has hit my ex badly, and I feel sorrow for him, but I also know that he makes choices that keeps him there.. Healing hug to you and your daughter.... Kimmee

Your stbx seriously needs a wakeup call and you would think that the divorce is a good enough "alarm" for her, but it seems like it is not. I feel for your daughter. Bless her heart.

I had what would have been my 24'th earlier this year ... like you, it didn't feel different than any other day! I guess that shows that we have successfully "moved on"?!

Instead, I celebrated the first anniversary of our divorce, now THAT day was better than usual, lol.

I AM sorry for your daughter though, we always have to make sure they know it didn't have ANYTHING to do with them!

I'm sure she is falling apart. Alot of very significant things happening this month. Anniversary, Christmas. Party life is temporary. Spending time with family, friends is tons more significant. She may be having regrets, but she has to work them out herself. You shouldn't feel sorry for her. She made her decisions. She can either change or continue to make the wrong choices. But you still have to keep moving forward.

yep sounds like karma and i understand it doesnt always make us feel happy - thought it would but sometimes it just sucks

    I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
