I got to set this up a little bit, and its 100% true story. When i was little i went to the ER fairly often, Lil Tup was a daredevil. On more than one occasion I told the lady nurses that my name was "Bob Barker", and they seemed to just eat that up. Uh, I was 4-5 years old during this phase. "Truth or Consequences" was a HUGE show for me, it seems, and I very quickly latched on to Barker's next project "The Price Is Right".
It was always the highlight of any sick day from ages 8-28.
Today, I caught my first glimpse of the new TPIR with Drew Carrey as host. It wasnt seamless and Ohio Drew has a ways to go before he approaches the Barker Zone.
Today's Showcase Showdown was an absolute masterpiece. The first bid was passed to the other contestant. The second auction up for bids included A NEW CAR!!! The guy bid $24200.
After the commercial the first contenstant, a lady, was way off. Her bid was at least $9k too low. The second auction was valued at $24198.
The dude bid TWO DOLLARS too high, and lost. I almost lost my composure, it was frickin hysterical. Ive never seen anything like it. Literally.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
SO FUNNY that you posted this. I got a very rare occassion to go home for lunch today and caught a few minutes of Drew as host. Did you watch him struggle trying to add the amounts to figure out who got to go to the Showcase Showdown?!?! TOO funny...it's just not the same without Bob.
Two bucks..... that's insane. There needs to be a "fudge factor" in there. Like grading on a curve. LOL
No seriously, I remember that show.
What about What's My Line? Today that would be a whole different scenario.
So Tup, What is Your Line? LOL
Oh, what was that show with Betty White and Alan whatshisname???? Where they were given the word and had to describe it without saying the word?
Now who's old?
Maybe it's just me....... :=)
How about the show Tic-Tac-Toe. I use to watch that everytime it was on.
Ginny-I'm not sure I remember that one...is that the one with the celebrities in the big squares? Didn't Whoopie appear as a regular? No, that was Hollywood Squares...
I just answered my own question. Is it time to go home yet? LOL
