So we aren't totally divorced yet but almost are. What's the deal with the taxes? He all of a sudden is throwing his W2s at me yesterday and needs mine ASAP before a big meeting with our lawyers on Tuesday. It sounds to me that he wants to do his alone. Shouldn't we still be doing them together to get the best deal? Don't I get a say? I'm going to lose money I think because I filled out my tax stuff while we were married for married with 2 dependents. We had decided that he should do his married but withold at single rate. What is the best advice other than making sure my lawyer talks about it at our joint meeting. I gave him nothing and wont do anything until my lawyer instructs me but I just wondered what other people did/are doing.
