Take ring off?

My wife decided, last night, that she was not going to come back to me. I had held hope for the last 3 months, for she was giving me reason to. Should I take the step to take the ring off? Does that help?

I must be an odd duck. I dont understand this ring bussiness. When One leaves the nest. It's over the ring comes off. When I recieved the bad news it took me 30 sec. to through it in the trash, just like she did with the marriage. to each there own. Agree to disagree.

i took mine off, put it on the next day again thinking there was still hope. 2 days ago i took it off and put in a drawer. Why should i wear the damn thing if it doesnt mean anything? Do what you have to, but if its over there is no reason to wear it....time to move on, thats what im trying to do. good luck and keep your head up!

Took it off within 30 minutes of wife deciding to leave me. It does help the healing and acceptance. I put mine in a drawer, so maybe there is still one more level of acceptance for me to go through (throwing it away). Just put it away for now as seeing it on your finger will not help you move on. I feel for you, those first few days are tough but it really does get better. Putting photos away so they are not around the house helped me too.

I wore mine until the point that wearing it hurt more than not wearing it. I put it away and never looked back.

My girlfriend had a jewelry party at her house and let me buy a ring with her credit to replace it. Just an idea for you Lyn!

I can tell you why I have taken MY ring off in the past, I do it when my husband is abusive and denies any responsibility...it makes me so mad that I feel better, less connected to HIM and our "marriage", so yeah, take it off and see how you feel.

    theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
