My x seems to want to be repaid for my student loans. They are nearly paid off (of course I've been making the payments since our separation...double payments actually). I was a sahm for two years (I had two years of college by that time) and we paid nearly $2000 on them during that time. I then went back to school and they were deferred. We started repayment again 6 months after I graduated in 1998...and I got a teaching position as a substitute the first year making regular teacher pay since I was doing long term. The next year I started teaching full time and have been ever since. The two years I was a sahm it was to help HIS career. I put my college on hold (was glad to do so since I was pregnant with my second child and had a one year old). When youngest was nearly 2, I went back to school. I cannot imagine him being given payback money...especially since he makes so much more than I do anyway. Anyone ever heard of this???
