I realize this is off the topic, but how many of you have teenagers who have admitted to being sexually active? I have a daughter with a VERY SERIOUS boyfriend since last February, and he is only 18 and she is almost 17. How do you handle this issue if it is something you are dealing with?

only from having been the 17 year old can i advise. open, honest, tell her how you feel communication is the best you can do.

My daughter was 16 when she finally come out and admitted that she is lesbian. She is now 17 and has found a wonderful girlfriend called Steffi. I say to her the words of the Dalai Lama: "If two people find love without abuse, that must surely be a blessing from God."
I told her, though, that while I encourage her to explore her sexuality and her feelings for Sherri, under no circumstances will I endorse their marriage! They now live in England. Live together, screw each other silly, but do not get married!
For your daughter, the question of sensible precautions against conception I imagine must be a concern for you. I hope that you and she can have that discussion. How did your mother feel and react when you were 17?

i have lived through 4 teenagers, the youngest one now 20. i talked to them about their virginity being a gift. one that you can never ever take back. to respect themselves enough to be with someone they loved and respected with the same in return. i told them in a perfect world a man and woman would be married and could explore love and intimacy together, but it is not a perfect world. i then discussed with them contraceptives. my daughter came to me and we went together to the doctor for birth control. she has been with only one man. they have been together for 15 years. my sons, little different from their sister. the boys, one is married, one has a girlfriend and a baby. and my youngest has been with same girlfriend for over 1 year. i still encourage them to respect their women and be kind and gentle. if your not open and honest, they will go elsewhere for their information. when i talked to them about these things it was with love and understanding. i want to share everything with them except of course the details. good luck.

I have a daughter now 30 and one 20. I feel as churop did that I wanted them to save that gift for the man they married but kept communication open and went with them to get birth control. By the way as a single mom raising my boy, I watched a movie with him on sexuality and bought him condems. they need us as much as our girls maybe more.

    theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
