Last year in November I fled my home to a women's shelter with the clothes on my back.. As this holiday season approaches I want you to think about sharing with those less fortunate.
The best thing you can do.. is buy everyone in your family new robes and slippers. Do this in novmeber give it to them early and ask for the old ones to donate to a shelter... you have no idea what kind of humiliation there is a sharing bathroom facilities with only a very small towel.
These fews items allow you a sense of dignity...
I am urging everyone to buy those you love (kids as well ) new robes and slippers in November and donate the old ones to a local shelter....
Thanks for listening to me.... God bless you all.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Thanks for the idea, I love to teach my daughter to share with others.
I just happen to have some very nice robes hanging around I rarely use...thanks for the reminder it's about that time again.

I volunteer at the Union Gospel Mission in town.. we have the most affluent city in Canada and the poorest must drug infested neighbourhood in Canada within a 15 minute drive of each other. Isn't that amazing?..how is that possible I wonder?
A group of singles I met on the internet started going out on Sat nights with sandwiches, soup, dry socks, donated coats and hats and gloves. It rains out here a lot and clean dry socks are gold for people.
