I was wondering if anyone has any easy to fix recipes that I could use for meals after I come home from work. I am so sick of the same old same old "Stuff". I am looking for ideas that only have 4 or 5 ingredients at the most. Maybe enough for two meals so I can freeze what is not eaten. It is so horrible cooking for only one. I hate messing up the kitchen and nothing ever looks good any more. I thought with some new recipes I might stop eating junk. I don't care for fish or oriental food. I do like rice. Please go ahead and post if you use fish or cook oriental food because someone else might want the recipe. All these posts about comfort food made me think about what I eat. I'm looking for ideas that are good but quick.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I got this one at Trader Joe's... and it's very yummy!
1) In a skillet, brown about 1 lb of ground turkey
2) Add in 1 jar of salsa
3) Add in one can of marinated bean salad (they sell this at Trader Joe's, but you can substitute chick peas - or kidney beans)
4) Let it simmer 15 minutes
5) Serve with shredded ccheddar and chopped green onions!
Mmmmmm
That will be on the menu for Wednesday.
1 pd hamburger meat
can of green beans
can of beans ( I use kidney beans)
can - cream of mushroom soup
French onions the crunchy ones
cook hamburger meat, then throw the rest togather then cook in oven (350 degrees) then once its good and hot place the crunchy french onions on top.
