So, I filed for property distribution from the ex. I am entitled to 40 - 50 % of my ex's military benefits/retirement pension. He got a lawyer and has made it appear like we are going through a divorce proceeding all over again. When we divorce neither of us had a lawyer. The ex did not put in the retirement part in the divorce and judge left it open to settle at a later date. So, now here we are and he put in his papers that I squandered his money and I have a habit of "blowing" money. So, regardless of whether this is true or not, I want to know what this has to do with me being entitled to the military retirement. Is this tatic to pursuade the judge to disapprove my petition? Can I be denied my request because he is accusing me of spending money? I worked the whole time we were married and we both spent money on "stuff". Anyone out there been through anything like this regarding military retirement where the spouse is entitled to a portion? I am not asking for any of his "physical property", but he seems to be making it such. Maybe I just needed to vent.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
