Depends on the situation. I want to protect what I have earned on my own, my retirement, 401K (which is probably worthless at the moment) assets, etc. I've odd ball views on prenups due to my ex. We were together over 5 years, engaged, living together in property we purchased together..and AFTER he began cheating on me he said he wanted a prenup! To me that said "I don't believe in Fidelity..unless it's the name of one of my investments".

In some ways (due to his actions) I view a prenup as a "plan to fail"....on the other hand in some situations not having one can mean "failing to plan". I don't know I'm too screwed up to think about this!

I read a financial article that stated that prenups are very important for people who don't have much to lose (i.e. lower income). I'd get one for sure.

Not sure, but probably. I had a close call on this divorce because if he had taken his dick out of his hand and his head out of his ass a court may have given him 10xs what he took even though I freaking earned it all. My BF understands that everything I have right now goes to my son so he should not have any issues signing a prenup if we get that far. Of course, I would buy a life insurance policy to make sure my spouse is taken care of in the event of my death. A broken heart is one thing...trying to take half my shit after you do that might make me do something bad.
