Recently I started a discussion that ended up being of such a great inspiration to me that I had to use the story a friend I met here (imhealing) told in a thank you card for the physical and occupational therapists that helped my mom .I would like to share what I wrote....... I was talking with friends of mine recently about times when we felt inspiration in a time of fear and suffering. One of the stories I heard struck me personally but in a differentview. My friend live in Pensacola during Hurricane Ivan. When she and her family returned to what had been their home, nothing was left but chaos and debris. One day as she was going through what seemed like a futile search, she looked over and saw a tiny sunflower coming up through a giant pile of that debris. It was so small and imperfect but she felt great inspiration from that new life bursting out. I have been thinking about that story and how it relates to us.There was a time in our lives when we felt scared, lonely, and in ruins. Then a miracle happened. My mother woke up.She was as we all were scared, hopeful, and slightly imperfect.A new life was beginning. You saw a moment to come into our lives at a time that she had already begun to grow and strengthen. You have helped to make her and her family stronger, more able, and full of pride for her accomplishments and abilities. You have helped to give us even greater hope. Thank you for helping my mother, her daughters, sisters, nieces ,nephews, grandson, and friends. You surely have given more than any of us could express.I hope the flowers we bring you today will inspire you to recall not only how you have aided others but how others have aided you in your times of need.Thank You. Now I may have seen something in her story that wasn't said but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I share this with all of you because we don't always find help where we are looking .Sometimes it's in the most unlikely places we find what we are looking for or even need. This community is for divorces an breakups and I need my friends support for that also but I found something else very special here. THANK YOU IMHEALING YOU HAVE GIVEN ME GREAT INSPIRATION AND I HOPE THIS POST RETURNS THAT TEN FOLD TO YOU!!!

Hi all! This is for those of you that have or have had the same neurologist for 4 years or more. I have been with mine now since 2009. He is one of the best movement disorder secialists in the midwest. I know he is extremely busy on the lecture circuit now and in fact not taking new patients there is a huge waiting list for him. BUT.... I feel like my visits are not what they use to be. He...
I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
