My lawyer is out of town(vacationing with my money lol). My stbx and I have 3 properties.My stbx had them appraised back in oct or Nov 2007. I paid for half the appraisals and they weren't cheap. My stbx is a lier(no surprise). He's the one that had them appraised and I only paid after seeing the reports AND a receipt. The thing is,my lawyer wants me to get an appraisal on my own for a possible trial. My stbx only gave my lawyer the appraisal papers of the property he is on(idiot stbx). I told my lawyer to get the other appraisals from my stbx and check those out before I pay for yet another appraisal(trying to save a little money here). The question I have in my decision is, can my stbx have the appraisals "fixed" somehow in his favor? He used the bank that carries this mortgage and is familiar with the bankers there.
