Posted last week about my cousin, he had a liver transplant last week but it went horribly wrong. The new liver would last about 5 days before he would die. Average wait for a new liver is 9 months so we thought that was the end. Today we had the best phonecall- he's had a second transplant!! He has been unbelievably lucky and a match came up, it's early days but looking good. It's so sad thinking this has come from the result of someone dying, and by hoping he got a liver, it was like hoping someone died, obviously not the same but I have so much respect for organ donors!! This person has not died in vain, they have saved the life of my cousin, who is now going to experience life with a healthy liver for the first time!! I'm so relieved guys!
