Ive noticed some things are actually better now that I live alone.

I can stack the tupperware however I damn well please
I always have hot water in the shower
Soap lasts longer
When the phone rings, chances are its actually for me
I can make the bed at noon on Saturday, or not at all, thank you very much
I can switch between 3 football games, a hockey game and Sportscenter with out fear of retaliation
Theres one less room to dust
For some strange reason, the dishwasher isnt full of glasses all the time
No more cringing when I see tampons on the shopping list
I can crack my gum
Less money spent at the supermarket
More money spent at the liquor store
My dog gives me her complete and undivided attention
I can play Dean Martin as loud as I want to and not be embarrassed


Anyone else have something thats better now?

I'm not coming home wondering what is going to happen next with her life outside of me. The complaints about work and co-workers used to drive me crazy.

I can feed chocolate cake to my son for breakfast.

that's great!

i can watch TV without feeling like i have ADHD 'cuz i've got the 'mote.

i can eat whatever, whenever...something besides chicken & pork.

can spend $$ as i choose without his commentary.

don't have to fix him breakfast @ 6 am when he isn't even going to work & i am.

now if i can just keep this list going, and forget about that other one (what i'll miss).

I don't have to step over clothes on the floor just to get to the bed. There aren't stacks and stacks of craziness all over the place. the house doesn't smell like smoke and neither do I. I don't wake up to cigerette butts in my glass or plates. There's not a stack of coka cola's . There's very little meat in the fridge. I'm just as horny now as I was during the marriage, though.

Kris - that's what this was for. I've spent too much time thinking about what I miss. Need to refocus, if only for a little while, on some of the positive things.

I forgot one...it has to do with chili dogs and gas, but I'll hold off on that one.

I don't have to sit home wonderifng when he is going to come home from work.

No listening to him "snooze" the alarm clock thirty times in a row when it is my day to sleep.

I don't have the top shelf of the fridge covered in old beer.

I don't have to get an attitude every time I wake him up because he is late to work.

I don't have to nag him to do yard work (I did it myself till the two pregnancies than it didn't get done)

I don't have to wonder where all the money was spent.

I don't have to wash his work clothes

I dont have to wonder if he flushed the toilet. I dont have to see his spit cups everywhere. I dont have to hear him say,"oh f*uck" when he oversleeps everyother day. I dont have to go for my favorite snack to only find he ate it all in one night. I dont have to answer anymore questions.

I don't have to watch CSI, Law & Order, or pick your crime show EVERY night, multiple times.

I don't have to consult w/him about home repairs or decorating. Love that, I just do it!

I don't have to buy items for him at the grocery, no listerine, no snack cakes, or luzianne tea!

Forgot one.....I don't attempt to mow the grass and find the gas can empty because he emptied it in his car. His car never had more than 1/4 tank of gas! Now I use a 3 gallon gas can and it lasts forever.

There aren't pop cans in the sink, piles of his dirty clothes all over, stacks of papers all over, keys, chewing gum, mints,widgets and condoms all over my bar! I can actually USE my computer. I don't have to watch stupid cartoons. There's no voice whining from the bathroom "where's the extra toilet paper/baby wipes/cotton swabs?".

I can actually buy something for myself to eat and not come home the next day to find the container in the garbage...empty!

There isn't porn all over the guest bathroom (which had to be picked up along with the rest of his crap when anyone came over).

Best of all..that last beer can sit in the fridge for days and I know it will be there when I want it...maybe even next week!

    theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
