Just broke up with my boyfriend - the love of my life. now, he won't even answer the phone when I call or respond to my emails. We didn't break up over anything bad - he felt he wasn't ready to take a next step - and that he might never be ready and so it was better to break up now. We love(d) each other madly and were very happy together. I don't understand why he can't at least respond to an email, or talk to me for a few minutes on the phone. Just to ease my mind. I feel like the lack of contact is making me feel crazy. I know I can't force him to talk to me, I know he's doing it because he thinks communicating would be too hard. but if you love someone - how can you just ignore them? I know he's not a mean or vindictive kind of person, I'm sure he thinks this is the best way to handle things. But I love him truly and believe he loves me. what's so scary about that? Are some people out there truly happier alone? Even if they find love - do they just throw it away?
