YES SHE CAN!!!!!!!!
now go scoot...get off the computer.. go mow the law...the gutters need cleaning too.. so can you get over to my place and clean my gutters?.. Please!...
be well Anne.. gave me a confidence boost reading this.. thank you.
Thank you, Papa, for making me mow the lawn when I was a little girl. At least I knew today that there has to be a soft buttony thing to push on to prime the motor before I start it! Took a minute to find it, but it was there! My techniques needs some fine tuning - the mow lines are pretty crazy uneven! Truly a confidence-building moment - and exercise too! Maybe next time it will be fun!
My Ex broke the lawnmower... beggining of Spring ... told him the grass was too long.. and too wet.. and to go at it with the weed wacker a bit and then raise the mower.. but no.. noooo.. burnt out the motor.. and we had borrowed the mower from my folks... he never paid them back or replaced it.. jerk.
he broke so many things and took years to do a project.. so I had to do most of the projects, thank goodness my dad was a mechanic.. and an Industrial Ed teacher.. I at least knew what a wrench was.
Oy Vey.. I remember the day that he called about the car being broken.. it was out of oil.. "the car needs oil?"....
told him to check the dipstick and not to start the car. "the Dipstick?..what's a dipstick?"... LOL.....nevermind...
So I don't mow the lawn, I've tried to just kill it instead. I've only half succeeded...
I mowed my first lawn EVER in 47 years this August when he decided not to be helpful anymore.
It's not bad. And I got a huge sense of accomplishment from doing it myself.
I'd cut out my tongue before I'd ask him for help right now.
You can do it. And you'll feel great when you're done.
anyway, I am cleaning the house and you are right. It is such a confidence boost. It's not terribly difficult, there are just 1,000,000 other things I would rather do.
I broke it down by time and according to the football game but it will all get done and I'm saying to myself.
GO JAY, GO JAY.....IT'S YOUR BDAY
and you know what Anne
GO ANNE, GO ANNE.....IT's YOUR BDAY
I gave up a lot of things to get my freedom... gave him the Jetta.. then he traded it in for a beat up Eurovan... one dark and stormy night.. He was still in the house during the seperation ...He asks me to come outside and help him with the oil!!!!!......OMG!!!!! replay from like 12 years prior... I was ready to laff my arse off.
Stupid me went out in the storm... no flashlight.. so told him to go to gas station and get a funnel, and oil and where he can be out of the rain and get some light.
HE then had the gall to ask me to come along with him. (me who had no car and commuted close to 4 hours a day to work)... and dumb me went along.
took off the cap to the oil tank...he did.. rested it on the side.. I found the dipsitck.. helped pour the oil.... and then.. the cap falls into the body of the van... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... open oil tank now...just plug it I told him.. and then walked away, in the rain... I had had enuf of the dipstick... sheeeeeesh.
You inspired me to mow my back yard today. Ran over 2 dog toys...oops!!
But, it did mulch up some leaves so I don't have to rake for a while.
